With its editorial-style visuals and expertly-curated mix of clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry and other accessories, Ethica is one of those online shops that makes our hearts beat faster. Not only does the 2-year-old boutique carry plenty of items that simultaneously tick all the important boxes -- cruelty-free, sustainable, and handmade -- but it's eco-conscious right down to its shipping methods, with recycled and recyclable packing materials and carbon-neutral delivery whenever possible. To boot, Ethica's New York headquarters is a LEED-certified green building, and the company donates to nonprofits like the Future Threads Project. All this and tons of the designers we adore: Freedom of Animals, Mary Meyer, Samantha Pleet, Bhava… the list goes on.
Right now, our Ethica wish-list includes sweet color-blocked espadrilles from Cavilani, a chic, roomy tote from Angela Roi, and Alice & Jig's comfy caftan dress for all the beach days we have left this summer.
Come fall, Ethica co-founder Carolina Cantor tells us that the site is planning to add even more brands from around the globe. She added that statement knits with handcrafted details would be big for the season. We see some fabs sweaters in our future.
