Welcome to What She Wears -- a weekly post featuring very stylish women with very cool jobs. I'll be chatting with everyone from designers to dog rescuers. Catch their wardrobe tips and other useful fashion intel here every Thursday.
Jill Pyle co-founded Vegan Cuts, a cruelty-free beauty box and snack box subscription service and online shop, with her husband John Wiseman in 2011. Since then, the e-commerce site has expanded to include not just ethical eats (omg the cheese!) and makeup (I can't live without this lipstick) but also some of the cutest accessories and best reads out there. Jill has been featured everywhere from the The Huffington Post to Bust. Yep, she's one fab lady -- so I was honored that she took the time to share some sartorial secrets with The Stylish Kind.
Comfortably au courant.
A good pair of black leggings and go-to flats -- once you’ve got those basics covered, you can go wild with sparkles and prints, depending on the occasion.
Piece of clothing I've kept the longest:
Probably one of the timeless vintage sun dresses that I’ve collected over the years. I love everything from darling '50s get-ups to quintessential '90s pieces.
Favorite shopping destinations:
Vintage and consignment shops, without a doubt. I go thrifting in every city that I visit. It’s a nice, wallet-friendly way to get a feel for the locale while filling my wardrobe with interesting pieces.
Best tips for someone looking to veganize her wardrobe:
Get social! Discover vegan-friendly brands by keeping an eye out on Instagram (see #whatveganswear). Once you surround yourself with amazing vegan-friendly fashionistas and clothiers, it is as if cruelty-free cute is the only way to be.
